Yesterday was the annual AIDS Walk in Boston, a fundraiser benefitting
Boston's AIDS Action Committee. Along with all the dedicated walkers
committed to raising money and raising awareness, there was also the
traditional contingent of fundamentalists waving signs that we were all
going to go to Hell (evidently it's evil to want to stop people from
dying of deadly disease. Who knew?) I was approached by one such
individual bent on frightening me with my impending damnation, but I was
prepared -- I pulled out my plastic GOOHF card and showed it to him with
a grin. Strangely, I don't think he was as amused as I was...go figure!
